Warming porridge with cinnamon, hazelnuts and maple syrup

It’s cold, windy and rainy outside, the autumn is slowly fading into winter and with it my food cravings change too. This is my favourite breakfast at the moment. So warming, simple and so delicious.

Porridge with cinnamon, hazelnuts and maple syrup

  • 1 cup Rolled Oats
  • 2 cups Non-dairy milk
  • 2 tablespoons Maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon (grounded)


Step 1
Place the oats in a saucepan and add 1 and 1/2 cups of your preferred non-dairy milk. Bring to a slow boil, stirring all the time. After approximately 5 mins remove from the heat, stirring in the remaining milk and leave to stand for 1 min.
Step 2
Serve in a warmed bowl and top with the maple syrup, hazelnuts and cinnamon.

    Love the value in this post and your site is so pretty. My family and I just started eating a vegan diet and its been a little tough we have always eaten organically but I must say I am missing my meat ;b
